Born on July 2, 1994, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu hails from a family with a rich cultural background. His mother, Bose Ogulu, served as a dancer to Fela Kuti, while his father, Samuel, held a managerial position at a welding company. Notably, his maternal grandfather, Benson Idonije, played a significant role in managing the legendary Nigerian musician Fela Kuti.Growing up in southern Nigeria, Burna, as he’s commonly known, discovered his passion for music early on. He honed his skills by producing beats using FL Studio, laying the foundation for his future in the music industry. After attending Corona Secondary School in Agbara, Ogun State, Burna relocated to London to pursue further education. He embarked on his academic journey by studying media technology at the University of Sussex from 2008 to 2009. He then transitioned to Oxford Brookes University, where he delved into media communications and culture until 2010. Burna Boy’s debut album, L.I.F.E, dropped on August 12, 2013, following his mixtape Burn Identity (2011). It sold 40,000 copies on its first day and featured singles like “Like to Party” and “Run My Race”. Leriq produced the album, with guest appearances from 2face Idibia, M.I, Timaya, Olamide, and Wizkid. Inspired by Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and Bob Marley, L.I.F.E was praised by Nigeria Entertainment Today, ranking 10th on its list of the 12 Best Albums of 2013.In 2014, Burna Boy parted ways with Aristokrat Records. By February 2015, he established his own record label, Spaceship Entertainment. Just eight months after leaving Aristocrat Records, Burna Boy dropped his second studio album, “On a Spaceship,” on November 25, 2015. Following this, his debut extended play, “Redemption,” consisting of seven tracks, hit the scene in September 2016. David Adedeji Adeleke, Davido was born to the family of Mr. Adedeji Adeleke and Mrs. Veronica Adeleke on the 21st Of November 1992. He is the last child of The Adedeji Adeleke Family and was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He has five older siblings.Although born in Atlanta, he schooled in Nigeria during his formative years and traveled back to Georgia during the holidays. His father is a business tycoon, while his mother was a university lecturer. His mother, Veronica Imade Adeleke, died in 2002 when Davido was just ten years old.Davido wanted to be a music producer and bought music equipment that he used to produce beats while studying at Oakwood University.
