Akande Precious Adeola, Know as IMJA, born on June 6, 1999, a Gemini, hails from a family of five. She pursued Dramatic Art at Obafemi Awolowo University, specializing in theatre management. Graduated in 2022. Imja venture into entertainment industry in 2019 starting as an Influencer and PR. In 2023, she pursued an MBA to deepen her knowledge of the music business.
Getting to know IMJA, Imja isn’t just a name; it embodies a profound concept—a free-flowing ocean symbolizing unstoppable force. Inspired by Chinese beliefs, it signifies freedom, impact, and resilience.
Imja Originally aspired to be an actress, “my passion for music led me to become a music marketer and manager”, aligning with IMJA’s essence of fluidity and impact. Imja brands include, IMJA PLUG established on October 4, 2021, and IMJA LIFESTYLE launched with its website on November 20, 2022 (imjalifestyle.com).
“The Afro music scene has profoundly influenced me, particularly through artists like Superwozzy. His music resonates deeply with me, drawing me into the vibrant world of music. Barry Jhay’s artistry has also left a lasting impact on me; his musical prowess is undeniable, and simply being around him ignites my passion for music.
Over the years Imja has been opportune to work with producers like Vstix, MEERHARMIX, and Nxrthmix, whose their work and dedication to their craft has propelled my career forward. Despite facing initial challenges and encountering people who sought to exploit rather than support her, yet she remained steadfast in pursuing her goals.
Her career trajectory has always revolved around music marketing, and establishing her management company, IMJA LIFESTYLE, was a natural progression to further contribute to the music and entertainment industry. And while music remains her primary focus, she is also eager to explore opportunities in acting, a passion she have always cherished.
Navigating the role of an artist manager, especially when working with introverted personalities, presents unique challenges.Over the years, Imja has honed her skills in artist management, working with talents across various genres. Her first artist, Remi, has been under her management for over two years, during which she has nurtured his talent, positioning him as one to watch in the industry. Currently, Imja is under contract with Plumpter and Dora, where she is dedicated to managing and grooming them for success, aiming to establish them as the next big names in the music industry..However, she come to realize that her responsibilities extend beyond just managerial, she embraced the role of a therapist, a staunch supporter, and a motivational speaker for the artists I represent.
While Imja achievement is still on the horizon, she understand the importance of continuous growth and learning. As a leader, “I prioritize truth, loyalty, and belief, setting an example for aspiring talents irrespective of gender”. It’s crucial to remain authentic and resilient, even in the face of challenges and moments of doubt.
Her goals and aspirations for the IMJA brand is to make IMJA as a premier management company renowned for its creativity and innovation in the realm of entertainment. We envision becoming a global leader, setting new standards for excellence and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the industry.
