Innocent Ujah Idibia, widely recognized as 2Baba, stands as a prominent Nigerian musician and artist celebrated for his remarkable contributions to the music and entertainment industry. Having initiated his musical journey at an early age, he steadily ascended to fame, accumulating a multitude of accolades along the way.
He was born on September 18, 1975, in Jos, Plateau State, one of Nigeria’s 36 states. His origins can be traced to the Okpokwu Local Government Area, and he is affiliated with the Idoma ethnic group in Benue State, situated in southern Nigeria.
2Face’s journey in the music industry commenced during his university years, where he actively participated in performances at various school events and parties within both the campus and the Enugu metropolis.

Generating income, he composed and sang jingles for the Enugu State Broadcasting Services (ESBS) GB fan club. Eventually, he made the decision to leave school to fully devote himself to his burgeoning music career.

2Face, along with Faze (Chibuzor Orji) and Blackface (Ahmedu Augustine), relocated to Lagos State, where they collectively established the ‘Plantashun Boiz’ band. This musical ensemble went on to produce two successful albums, namely “Body and Soul” in 2000 and “Sold Out” in 2003, both of which featured a multitude of hit songs.
In 2004, the trio parted ways, leading 2Face to launch his debut solo album, “Face 2 Face.” The success of this album, propelled by the hit track “African Queen,” firmly established him as a prolific solo artist. Following this, he released “Grass 2 Grace” in 2006.
In 2007, the original trio reunited to record their third and final album, “Plan B.” Subsequently, 2Face continued his solo career with albums like “The Unstoppable,” “The Unstoppable International Edition,” “Away and Beyond,” and “The Ascension.
