You work so hard on a project but you don’t see the results you were hoping for and then you begin to reason, “perhaps I’m wasting my time”. There are some reasons why things are this way. You could simply be doing things wrong. So, what things should you do better as an upcoming artist? HOW GOOD IS YOUR CRAFT?: Music is a career that requires you to have some basic skills, such as singing and songwriting. Before you follow a music career, do you have these skills, even though these days, people employ the services of ghostwriters, can you afford one? Sharpen your skills before you choose a career in music and let people enjoy your songs. BE ORIGINAL AND CREATIVE: As an artist, you have to be creative in the project and songs you release. Can you be authentic enough to record a song without copying another artist’s method? You have to be original, let your inspiration come from within, and be different. People get tired of hearing the same thing over and over again, so you ask yourself, how can I be different? SELF-BELIEF: As an artist, people will always criticize your work and put it under a lot of scrutinies, do you have enough confidence and courage in your craft to receive such corrections You have to be courageous in your music, be prepared to defend your songs, and protect wherever you find yourself.
