Jerry Chuks, popularly known as SoftMadeIt, was born on August 2, 1996, in Festac, Lagos State, Nigeria, to Mr. and Mrs. Chuks. Although raised in southwestern Nigeria, his roots trace back to Imo State in the southeast. He grew up alongside his siblings, including his sister, Chito Chuks. SoftMadeIt received a solid educational foundation in Lagos, attending Kings College for secondary school before transitioning to Babcock University for higher education.
SoftMadeIt began dancing at age 4, and he has since performed at several events. He had started learning to play musical instruments quite young. He has collaborated with musicians such as Teni, Poco Lee.
At Babcock University, where he recorded a dance video with her, he met the management of the Nigerian musician Teni. Before becoming famous, he worked in music promotion and continues to do so today while producing content for musicians
